His productions have not only fostered a dynamic theatre community in Wichita but have been a proving ground for many of MTYPs young professionals who have gone on to join their company and star in some of their biggest productions. Cast of Band Geeks The cast of Band Geeks , the first show of our 35th Anniversary Season, will be hitting the stage to give you a preview of a few numbers from this wonderful musical two weeks before it opens. With a wonderful score full of hilarious and heartfelt songs, you will fall in love with this show just like we have. MTYP Alum Year after year another amazing group of young performers graduates and leaves MTYP behind, so it is always our pleasure any time we can gather a few of them up to help entertain a crowd. Our 2018 Fall Gala will feature the brilliant Wayne Bryan (the Producing Artistic Director of Music Theatre Wichita) as emcee along with the ultra-talented Tim and Karen Robu who will perform a couple numbers. Joining them on stage will be MTYP alumni and current cast members bringing you songs and numbers from our 2018/2019 Main Stage Season. Our main stage season will feature four wonderful musicals; Band Geeks , A Little Princess , Children of Eden , and Disney’s Newsies . Our largest fundraiser of the year, the Fall Gala helps pay for our mainstage season, plus winter and summer camps and other educational opportunities for our young performers. Hors-d’oeuvres will be served and a drink ticket for two drinks will be provided at the door.
